Saturday

SF Zinefest workshop!

We set up our table for the Zinefest and headed straight over to the classroom for our workshop.

Today Dorothy and I taught an enthusiastic crowd our tiny book and the envelope book. We used found paper-- old atlas pages, music sheets, maps, calendars and more. More people kept coming in and we had a great time.

My friends Nancy, Erin, Susie and Leslie stopped by to take the workshop!

SF Zinefest!

We stayed up late and got up early but the three of us were ready. Dorothy Yuki one half of MadmadeSF and me the other half and my visiting artist sister Tracy Lee-Cantello. We got in
line with all the vendors and set up our table before we headed off to give the first workshop
of the weekend -- Envelope Book and more mini books.

Thursday

SF Zinefest

MADmadeSF will be having a table at the www.sfzinefest.org  in San Francisco, CA.
It will take place on Labor Day weekend. We are busy making our re-purposed items for our table at the zinefest!!

We had fun taking flash cards and putting words together for the front and back covers to make some re-use journals.

How is this for putting two flash cards together ?

Friday

Monoprinting without a press

We have been having a lot of fun using homemade gelatin plates and  store bought Gelli plates.
It is really fun and easy to make mono prints with a simple setup. Looking forward to teaching some
upcoming workshops at www.ruthstable.org  September 20th.

Here are some gelli prints made with homemade circle stencils.

Monday

New mailing labels

We love mailing labels and decided to make our own for our fun envelopes
we make with found papers and to add to our correspondence kits.
